About Organisation
NMIMS’ Kirit P. Mehta School of Law Model United Nations Society (KPMSOL MUNSOC) hosts two conferences, an Intra-College MUN and the International Conference SOLMUN, attended by hundreds of delegates. The society aims to provide a holistic academic and co-curricular platform for participants.
Model United Nations is a simulation of United Nations proceedings, where students represent countries across committees such as the General Assembly and Security Council. These conferences promote a deeper understanding of global affairs through structured debate and diplomacy. It is an attempt to engage students with global challenges and encourage them to think creatively with an international outlook to problem-solving.
About the Opportunity
Model United Nations enhances leadership and teamwork by enabling delegates to address real-world issues through collaborative problem-solving and diplomacy. It fosters critical thinking, research, and networking skills by encouraging innovative and analytical approaches to global challenges. Participation in MUNs builds career readiness, particularly for students aspiring to careers in law, diplomacy, business, and public policy. Additionally, it deepens understanding of geopolitics, international relations, and international law. The structured and disciplined environment of MUNs also instils professionalism, respect, and a strong sense of justice and equality.
Theme
“THE ARCHITECTURE TO REFORM: WHERE CHANGE TAKES PLACE”

It underscores that a just and sustainable world is consciously constructed through continuous reform across generations.
