About the Trilogy on New Criminal Laws and Call for Chapters for the ‘Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: Technology, Crime and Justice’

With the introduction of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, India has entered a crucial phase of criminal law reform. A major feature of this transition is the recognition of technology-related crimes.

The ‘Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: Technology, Crime and Justice’, the second in our trilogy on the new criminal laws, seeks to provide practical insights into the application of BNS provisions on technology-related crimes, case studies, and illustrations highlighting investigation challenges and judicial responses, and suggestive Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) for law enforcement, police, and forensic experts to address digital crimes effectively.

In doing so, comparative perspectives with international practices to identify gaps and adopt best practices will also help. The book is designed as a one-stop guide for law enforcement officers, prosecutors, judges, forensic experts, researchers, and students. It will bridge doctrinal understanding with practical tools, offering both conceptual clarity and practical guidance.

It invites contributions from academicians, practitioners, technologists, industry experts, policymakers, researchers, and students.
