About The Workshop

The Centre for Research on Intellectual Property Rights (CRIPR), Unitedworld School of Law (UWSL), Karnavati University, in proud collaboration with the Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), is honored to announce a one-day intensive online workshop and abstract presentation series. This program explores the vital role of Intellectual Property (IP) laws within academia and the broader innovation ecosystem.

The program is designed to provide a foundational understanding of how legal frameworks intersect with academic research and creative projects. By linking core IP concepts to present-day concerns, it aims to foster a rigorous and practical dialogue on the future trajectories of research commercialisation.

Call For Abstracts [Work-In-Progress]

We invite original Work-in-Progress Research for online presentation. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present their work-in-progress during dedicated technical sessions and will subsequently have the opportunity to submit a full chapter for publication in a proposed ISBN-edited book.

Eligibilty & Mode

  • The workshop is open to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students, as well as research scholars and faculty members from any discipline. Co authorship is allowed upto 2 authors.
  • Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors per submission
  • The entire event, including expert sessions and research presentations, will be conducted via an online virtual platform.

Submission Guidelines For Authors

I. Submission of Abstracts

  • Word Limit: Abstracts should be between 300 and 500 words.
  • Keywords: Provide 3–5 keywords that clearly identify the research focus.
  • Submission Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted by April 15th using the link provided
  • Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by 20th April 2026.
  • Format: Presentations will be conducted online on 24th April 2026. Each author will be allotted 10–12 minutes for their presentation, followed by a Q&A session.

Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, Size 12.
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 for main text; 1.0 for footnotes.
  • File Format: Submissions must be in .doc or .docx format

Important Dates

  • Last Date for Abstract Submission: 15th April 2026
  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: 20th April 2026
  • Workshop & Presentation Date: 24th April 2026 (10:00 AM – 02:45 PM)
  • Submission of Full Chapter: 30th June 2026
