The Faculty of Law, OUI, Indore, is a premier institution offering quality legal education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels through BALL.B. (Hons.)(5 Years) & LL.B. (Hons.)(3 Years), approved by the BCI and LL.M. (1 Year) approved by the UGC. It also provides Diploma and Certificate programs in Cyber Laws, IPR & Environmental Law, along with opportunities for a Doctorate in Law. The Faculty has received a grant under the Pro Bono Club (Nyaya Bandhu Scheme) and emphasizes experiential learning through courts, chambers, and legal camps

About the Faculty Development Program

The Faculty of Law, Oriental University, Indore, is organizing a 5-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Academia In the Era of Technology: Exploring Emerging Technologies and their Regulatory Dimensions”. The programme aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for Research scholars, Faculty members and Postgraduate students , from all streams to explore the growing impact of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, data governance, digital platforms, biotechnology, and cyber security on academia, research, and society. The FDP will focus on developing a comprehensive understanding of the evolving regulatory frameworks that govern these technologies and their implications across diverse disciplines including law, management, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. Through expert lectures, interactive sessions, and discussions, participants will gain insights into policy developments, ethical concerns, and institutional responsibilities in the rapidly transforming digital landscape.

Objectives of FDP

• Increase awareness of the legal and regulatory aspects of emerging technologies.
• Educate Research scholars, Faculty members, and Postgraduate students on implications of new technologies in teaching, research, and industry.
• Nurture the cross-disciplinary awareness of the relationship between law, technology, and innovation.
• Educate participants on morality and regulations on ethics.
• Prepare the participants with the ability to mentor the students in the technology-driven research and entrepreneurial ventures.
• Promote interdisciplinary cooperation in the issue of technology governance.
