SLS Noida Wins Inaugural RN Mittal National Memorial Moot Court Competition

Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Noida has emerged as the winner of the inaugural RN Mittal National Memorial Moot Court Competition organised at Law Centre-I, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
The winning team from SLS Noida comprised Isha Kashyap, Dishita Lumba and Riddhima Joshi. The team secured the top position after competing against law schools from across the country in the three-day national moot court competition.
The runner-up position was secured by St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bengaluru. The team included Sachin Gowda M, Harlton Lejo Joseph and K Rishu Nanjappa.
The competition witnessed participation from 60 teams representing different law institutions from across India. The preliminary rounds were conducted on April 24, followed by the octa-finals and quarter-finals on April 25. The semi-finals and final round concluded on April 26.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Justice N Kotiswar Singh of the Supreme Court of India. The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Justice KV Viswanathan of the Supreme Court and Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya of the Delhi High Court.
The final round of the competition was judged by Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora and Justice Neena Bansal Krishna of the Delhi High Court.
Among the individual honours, Isha Kashyap of Symbiosis Law School, Noida was awarded the Best Speaker in the Finals for her performance during the concluding rounds of the competition.
Lavisha Bageja of Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi received the Best Speaker award for the Preliminary Rounds.
The Best Researcher award was jointly awarded to Akshita from the School of Law, National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar and Jahnavi Sinha of Chandigarh University, Punjab.
The award for Best Memorial on behalf of the Petitioner side was won by Anusha Meher, Gaurisha Rastogi and Tvisha Chopra from the University School of Law and Legal Studies, GGSIPU.
The Best Memorial for the Respondent side was awarded to Rose Bhatia, Nitya Jain and Purvi S Jain of Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), Sonipat.
The competition brought together students from leading law schools and provided participants with an opportunity to showcase their advocacy, research and courtroom skills before senior members of the judiciary.
