About the Programme

Data Privacy Laws in India is a structured, practice-oriented programme designed to introduce participants to one of the fastest-growing areas of contemporary legal practice.

With the enactment of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, India has entered a new era of privacy regulation. Lawyers, policy researchers, compliance professionals, and technology practitioners are increasingly required to understand privacy rights, regulatory obligations, and the legal challenges emerging from the digital economy.

Through six live academic sessions, participants will explore the constitutional foundations of privacy, the legislative journey leading to the DPDPA, the architecture of the statute, enforcement mechanisms, global privacy frameworks, and emerging questions in AI governance.

The programme combines legal doctrine, policy analysis, and practical insights to provide participants with a strong foundation in privacy law, technology regulation, and digital governance.
