About the Course/FDP

This Faculty Development Programme (FDP) will explore the intersection of Indian literature and Indian Knowledge Systems with an emphasis on how decolonising literary narratives can contribute to the quest for social justice. It aims to equip participants with critical tools to engage with literary texts, ancient, medieval, modern, and contemporary, from decolonial and indigenous perspectives.

Through interactive lectures, scholarly discussions, and hands-on pedagogical sessions, this FDP will foster interdisciplinary understanding and inspire curricular innovations aligned with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.The programme will particularly focus on the retrieval and integration of native epistemologies within teaching and research in English and comparative literature, law and justice, gender studies, cultural studies, and tribal and regional studies.
