About the Jindal Global Law School

O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a non-profit global university established by the Government of Haryana and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

JGU is the only ‘Institution of Eminence’ and is India’s No. 1 Private University. It was established as a philanthropic initiative by the Founding Chancellor, Mr. Naveen Jindal in memory of his father, Mr. O.P. Jindal.

About the SCCLP

SCCLP functions under the aegis of the Centre for Global Corporate and Financial Law Policy at Jindal Global Law School. SCCLP aims to inculcate a robust learning environment for corporate law by providing a platform for aspiring corporate lawyers to showcase their analytical proficiency through research and other activities.

The current initiatives being undertaken by SCCLP are the Global Business Law Review Blog and the Pre-Placement Symposium Series (exclusive to JGLS). 

About the opportunity

The Global Business Law Review Blog under the aegis of the Student Chapter for Corporate Law and Practice, Jindal Global Law School is making a call for blogs on a rolling basis.

About the Blog

The Global Business Law Review Blog has been launched by the Student Chapter for Corporate Law and Practice at Jindal Global Law School. The Blog serves as a platform to facilitate robust academic discussion and critical analysis of contemporary issues revolving around the subject of Business Laws in India.

In doing so, GBLR acts as a structured reserve for articles on Corporate Law and other niche areas of Business Law. The Blog is open to external and internal contributors, including scholars and practitioners.

Faculty and Advisory Board

The faculty advisory board consists of Manasi Kumar, Professor at Jindal Global Law School, Tanvee Nandan, Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean (Systems and Processes) at Jindal Global Law School, and Anindita Jaiswal Jaishiv, Associate Professor at Jindal Global Law School.

Kirthana Singh Khurana, Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean (Academic Affairs) at Jindal Global Law School and Ashwathy Nair Suresh, Lecturer and Assistant Dean (Career Services) at Jindal Global Law School serve as the faculty coordinators for the Blog.

Submission Guidelines

Authors wishing to contribute their work to the call for blogs by Jindal Global Law School should ensure that their submission conforms to the following guidelines:

• The articles submitted must adhere to a word limit between 1,000 to 1,500 words and should be analytical in nature.
• References must be hyperlinked within the text of the article with credible online sources. Endnotes to be used incase of unavailability of online sources. 
• The content should be original and co-authorship upto 2 authors is permitted.
• The article should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) to [email protected]
• The details of the author(s) should be mentioned in the body of the email including Name, Year of Study (if applicable) and Institution / Organisation of Affiliation.
• Formatting guidelines:
  • The article shall be in Font Times New Roman in Size 12 with double spacing.  File name must be in the following format: Topic_Author Name.docx
  • The title of the article should be equal or not more than 100 characters.
  • Abbreviations of any defined terms used shall be placed inside (parenthesis) at the first occurrence in the manner specified. For example, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (“IBC”).
  • Cases should be cited in italics using the full name of the parties along with the full citation in the first instance. If used as a defined term, it should be made bold, italicized and placed inside (parenthesis) at the first occurrence. Thereafter, the defined term should continue to be used in italics. For example, ABC v Union of India (“ABC’).​
  • Dates shall be in the following format: January 1, 2021.
  • Statutes and legislations must be mentioned by their full name including the year, at the first occurrence. For example, Competition Act 2002.
  • When making reference to a particular section/ rule/ article of any law, first letter should be capitalized. For example, Article 21. 
  • Emphasis must be indicated by italicising the relevant word or phrase. 
  • Direct quotations from any judgement or order should be italicised and placed inside “double quotes”. To add emphasis on quoted phrases, the relevent word/ phrase must also be underlined

Registration

There are no Registration/Submission Charges, Processing Charges, Publication Charges or Certification Charges to participate in the call for blogs .
