About the Job

AK & Partners is hiring three Associates for its General Corporate, M&A, and Regulatory practice. This is a transactional role that offers direct involvement in live client matters and corporate transactions.

Associates will work closely with partners on transaction structuring, drafting, regulatory advisory, due diligence, and deal execution, with direct client exposure from the outset.

Eligibility

• Minimum 1 year of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Experience must be in:
  • Corporate Advisory
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
  • Agreement Drafting
  • Financial Regulatory Compliance
• Experience should be gained at a law firm.
• Exposure to financial services regulation will be an advantage.
• Strong interest in building expertise in a specialist corporate and regulatory practice.

Not Eligible

• Freshers.
• Candidates whose experience is exclusively in litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review:
  • Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs)
  • Shareholders’ Agreements
  • Term Sheets
  • Commercial Contracts
• Conduct legal due diligence of regulated entities.
• Research and advise on:
  • RBI Regulations
  • FEMA
  • SEBI Regulations
  • Companies Act
• Support execution and closing of corporate transactions.
• Assist in regulatory advisory matters involving financial services businesses.
• Interact directly with clients under partner supervision.
