1st Justice Dr. Radhabinod Pal Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2025 by University of Calcutta: Submit by May 9

About Department of Law, University of Calcutta
Founded in 1909, the Department of Law, University of Calcutta, is one of the oldest and most prestigious legal institutions in India. With a legacy spanning over a century, it has produced distinguished legal minds who have significantly contributed to the judiciary, academia, and policymaking.
About the Competition Format
The competition aspires to establish a premier mooting platform in the national circuit, from Kolkata. This year’s theme is centred around Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, focusing on the “setting aside of a non-arbitration award in a commercial arbitration arising out of an energy dispute.” The issue presents a critical area of legal discourse and remains relatively underexplored in moot courts.
The competition aspires to offer participants a unique platform that blends courtroom advocacy with the principles of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), promising a challenging and intellectually enriching mooting experience.
