- To create awareness, to exchange intellectual ideas and to trace the latest developments in relation to the Taxation and Real estate Law
- The Centre also looks forward to the publication of Journal on Taxation Law and Real Estate Law.
- For the fulfillment of the above strategic programmes, the Centre will look forward for the cooperation, assistance, and collaboration of the various stakeholders, institutions, government organizations, regulatory bodies, and the Ministry etc.
About the Event
The webinar will discuss the recently passed Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 2021that amended the Income Tax Act, 1961 (IT Act) and the Finance Act, 2012. The 2021 Act had amended the IT Act to impose tax liability on the income earned from the sale of shares of a foreign company on a retrospective basis (i.e., also applicable to the transactions done before May 28, 2012). The Act has nullified this retrospective basis for taxation.
This webinar aims to analyze the Amendments brought by this Act and how they will aid India to retain its reputation in the international business industry and improve India’s ease of doing business.
About the Speaker
Kailash Nath PSS, is an Advocate practising before various Courts at Hyderabad, with a focus on corporate, taxation and commercial laws. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and has graduated in law from Osmania University, and completed his post-graduation in law with specialization in corporate and commercial laws from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
He was earlier associated with Wadia Ghandy & Co., Mumbai.
