About the Job

Citi is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel 2 – Product (Officer). This is an intermediate-level role involving legal advisory, contract negotiation, and regulatory support for Citi’s global product offerings across APAC and other regions.

Eligibility

Qualification:

• Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree

Experience:

• 0–3 years of relevant industry experience (preferably in financial services)
• Knowledge of banking and financial regulations
• Understanding of international laws and regulatory frameworks
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop solutions
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment
• Strong organizational and relationship management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance and advisory support to business teams
• Interpret applicable laws, regulations, and industry practices
• Review and analyze business proposals and documentation
• Support contract negotiation and drafting for global product offerings
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel across regions
• Identify and manage legal, regulatory, and reputational risks
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws
• Participate in strategic initiatives and internal legal projects
