The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) is a think tank established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It provides legal and technical inputs on international trade and investment law, including WTO issues, free trade agreements, and international economic law.

About the Opportunity

CTIL is inviting applications for the following contractual positions:

Consultant (with/without PhD)

Associate

  • Young Professional (with experience)
  • Young Professional (without experience)
  • These roles involve working on international trade, investment law, and related policy issues.

Eligibility

  • General Requirements
  • Indian Nationals
  • Strong interest or experience in:
  • International Trade Law
  • Investment Law
  • WTO & Trade Agreements
  • Excellent research, drafting, and communication skills

Consultant

  • Master’s degree in Law/Economics/Public Policy or related fields
  • Minimum 8 years PQE (3+ years in relevant field)
  • Age: Up to 50 years

Associate

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields
  • Minimum 3 years PQE (1+ year relevant experience)
  • Age: Up to 45 years
  • Young Professional (with experience)
  • Master’s degree in relevant fields
  • Minimum 1 year PQE
  • Age: Up to 35 years

Young Professional (without experience)

  • LL.B. or Master’s degree from top-ranked institutions (NIRF/Global rankings)
  • No prior experience required
  • Age: Up to 28 years

Number of Vacancies

Total: 9 Positions

  • 2 Associates
  • 5 Young Professionals
  • 2 Consultants

Salary

  • Young Professional (without experience): ₹50,000/month
  • Young Professional: ₹60,000/month
  • Associate: ₹80,000 – ₹1,45,000/month
  • Consultant: ₹1,37,500 – ₹2,65,000/month

Tenure

1 year (extendable based on performance)

Location
