Centre for Law, Justice and Development, NLUD is currently engaged in projects relating to human rights, gender justice, education and tribal rights. Pursuant to these research activities, CLJD is looking for interns.

About The National Law University, Delhi

National Law University, Delhi, also known as NLU Delhi is a state-level Law University which was established in 2008. Out of the 23 NLUs in the country, NLU Delhi is among the leading ones. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is accredited with an A Grade with a score of 3.59 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Admissions and the course curriculum at NLU Delhi are as per the legal regulations prescribed by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The University was ranked 2 for Law by the NIRF in 2020 and 2019. About the Centre for Law, Justice and Development

Established in 2018, CLJD envisions revisiting, analysing and engaging with the development discourse and its interface with the legal discourse.

Through this engagement, it seeks to contribute to and endeavour to mould the discourse as well as the operationalisation of varied notions within the same in ways geared towards securing just domestic and international order.

Area of Work

CLJD is looking for interns to perform the following tasks:

  • Provide research support for ongoing projects
  • Research and compile information on specific areas and topics, when needed
  • Assist in documentation and preparation of project reports and Centre publications
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for Centre activities and initiatives
  • Assist with other related tasks as needed

Eligibility Requirement

Prospective applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Students currently enrolled in five-year/ three-year LL.B degree or LL.M or fresh graduates/post graduates intending to gather work experience
  • Demonstrate good research and writing skills
  • Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS office and online platforms

  • Curriculum Vitae, not exceeding two side A-4 sheet
  • Statement of Purpose (max 350 words)
  • Writing sample

Duration: Four to six weeks; extendable with mutual consent on the basis of performance.

  • Due to COVID-19 situation, most of the work shall be done online. However, in case of any urgency, the candidate shall be required to come to National Law University, Delhi.
