How Did to Apply?

I ask my college seniors who were practicing in the courts as advocates, to recommend me for an internship with their Senior Advocates. One of the Senior Advocates recommended me to Sandeep Bhattacharya Sir. Hence worked under him for near about 2.5 months.

Work Profile/ Main Task

Since it was the time during covid physical court processes were suspended & interns were not allowed inside the court premises. So, as an intern, I only got to read case files and clear my doubts from sir & see some online court hearings when sir would present the cases. Just before the internship could end, I got to learn how to draft & write a notice. Also learned how client dealing is done. I witnessed a few client meeting sessions, where I got to know how to do client dealings.

Work Environment

The work environment was pretty good as my senior as well as the other senior advocates seemed very frank to ask them about anything about my doubts. My senior helped me with all the required information needed for the internship.

Good Things

Since it was during covid & the courts were conducting virtual proceedings, there was nothing much to learn about during the period of my internship, except for reading case files & some document writing. Though the associates and even the clerks were very helpful to the interns. Sir also helped a lot in the process of understanding the case and why relevant landmark case laws were used to support the present case.

Bad Things

There were no bad things as such to be found during the time period of the internship.

There was no stipend as such.
