About The Government of Tamil Nadu
The Government of Tamil Nadu, by an Act of the State Legislature [Act. 43 of 1997] established the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University for advancing and disseminating knowledge in learning, teaching, and research in the field of law. His Excellency Shri. K.R. Narayanan, former President of India, inaugurated the University on September 20, 1997, and the University started functioning from October 3, 1997 onwards. The University is recognised by the Bar Council of India and the University Grants Commission (Sec. 2f and 12b of the UGC Act).
About the Department and Co-club
The Department of Environmental Law and Legal Order is one of the prominent departments in the postgraduate courses offered at The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU). Established in 2006, the department was introduced to offer specialised education in environmental law at the postgraduate level. Since its inception, the Department has fostered environmental awareness, literacy, the general public.
About The Call for Book Chapters
The Department of Environmental Law and Legal Order is pleased to announce a Call for Book Chapters titled “The Global Energy Shift in Climate Change: Challenges and Prospects”. This scholarly initiative seeks to bring together industry researchers, academic scholars, and law practitioners to address the legal and policy challenges associated with climate change and energy demands. This call for book chapters presents a unique platform for authors to share their governance, legal frameworks, and sustainable strategies to mitigate the pressing climate change and energy crisis.
This endeavour by TNDALU seeks to expand the existing literature on understanding the various dimensions of climate change and energy laws, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraging actionable strategies for environmental conservation. The edited volume aspires to bridge the gap between industry experts, academics, policymakers, and community stakeholders, facilitating knowledge exchange and promoting sustainable approaches for creating resilient habitats. This edited volume aims to facilitate scholarly discourse on the evolving legal principles, the impact of socio-economic transformations, and the need for legal reform to address emerging global concerns due to festering climate change and energy crisis.
The edited volume invites original, well-researched, and contemporary chapters, fostering a comprehensive dialogue on the challenges and possibilities surrounding climate change and energy law. It also aims to support policymakers in developing robust and effective frameworks for legal reform, establishing itself as an indispensable resource for scholars, legal practitioners, and policymakers engaged in the field of environmental law, climate response, and energy crisis.
This edited volume consists of an expert review committee from a multidisciplinary academic background and a well-equipped editorial team ensuring the quality of work meets global standards and is the first of its kind, tackling pressing issues relating to climate change and energy laws. Therefore, we invite you to be a part of this transformative project, where your contributions can shape the legal landscape for a greener, more resilient, and equitable future.

The Authors May Identify Other Areas Similar To The Aforementioned Theme & Sub-Themes And Write Abstracts/Manuscripts For Submission. Any Topic Not Related To The Theme & Subthemes Will Be Rejected Summarily.
Processing Timeline
- 02nd May, 2025- Submission of Abstract
- 03rd May, 2025- Intimation of Acceptance
- 30th May, 2025- Submission of Manuscript
- 06th June,2025 – Review of Manuscripts and sent back to the authors for corrections
- 10th June, 2025- Final Submission of Manuscript
- 19th June, 2025- Release of the book
Submission Guidelines
- All submissions should be made in Word format (.doc).
- The abstract shall not be more than 500 words, including keywords.
- The manuscript must bear around 10,000- 12,000 words.
- The Author(s) are requested to follow the ILI citation style throughout the manuscript.
- Co-authorship is allowed. Co-authorship shall be limited to 2 (two) persons.
- The submission must be the original work of the author(s), and plagiarism shall be restricted to 15%.
- Authors should also refrain from using paraphrasing tools and AI- AI-generated content.
- Submissions should be in Times New Roman, 12 font size with 1.5 linespacing, justified text and one inchmargins on all sides of an A4 sheet.
- Graphics, Charts, Tables, and Diagrams should be numbered consecutively and included in the body of the work.

- There are no publication charges for the authors.
- Authors shall be provided with a complimentary soft copy of the book after publication. Authors can also purchase the hard copy on the payment of the cost provided by the publishing partner.
- Kindly adhere to the deadlines. Late submissions will not be entertained.

Review Process
- An expert panel of the editorial board will conduct a review of the submission.
- Acceptance of the manuscript will be intimated through the email address provided by the Author(s).
Note
The chapters will be published with an ISBN number by a reputable publisher.
