About Call for Blogs

The CNLU Panchayati Raj Blog is accepting blog submissions on a rolling basis. We invite original, analytical, and thought-provoking pieces that engage with contemporary issues, legal frameworks, and policy developments related to Panchayati Raj Institutions and local governance.

Eligibility

  • Open to students, scholars, professionals, practitioners, and policymakers.
  • Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors.
  • Professionals are required to submit a brief biographical note.

Theme

  • Submissions may broadly engage with Panchayati Raj Institutions and local governance, including but not limited to:
  • Local governance and decentralisation
  • Gram Kachahari under The Bihar Panchayati Raj Act, 2006 and Gram Nyayalayas under The Gram Nyayalayas Act, 2008
  • Impact of digital platforms and e-governance tools such as eGramSwaraj, Meri Panchayat, etc. on efficiency and transparency of PRIs
  • Women’s participation in local bodies
  • Any other issues related to Panchayati Raj Institutions

Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 pt (body), 10 pt (footnotes)
  • Spacing: Double-spaced body, single-spaced footnotes
  • Citation Style: Bluebook, 21st Edition
  • Word Limit: 850–1,500 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Footnotes should not exceed 50 words

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished with a similarity index below 10%
  • Exclusive submission policy applies while the manuscript is under review
  • Only footnotes are permitted (no endnotes)
  • Rolling submissions accepted throughout the year
  • Use of AI-generated content:
  • AI tools must not be used to create or alter core arguments, empirical data, results, interpretations, or citations.

Permissible uses include:

  • Language and grammar enhancement
  • Idea generation or structuring outlines
  • Classification and summarisation of literature (subject to author verification)
  • Translation and multilingual support

Submission Deadline

There is no fixed deadline. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
