Can AI replace Human empathy and Logic?

The millennials are brought up with fiction movies and novels based on the thought that a robot will destroy the world or human apocalypse will be initiated by robots only, or when the Sophia robot of Saudi Arabia said “I WILL KILL HUMANS”.. that’s when the negative half burn image of the robot was born. But as Gen Z are so equipped and handy with the overuse and overindulgence of technology in life, it is time to think is really that Robots are now acceptable members of today’s world.
Presently, robots are programmed by artificial intelligence which works like wonders in giving them empathy and human-like logic. Artificial intelligence-based robots are now been used in various fields like medical AI. There are various examples of it like, PathAI uses machine learning to improve pathologists’ diagnoses and wants to reduce cancer detection errors and provide tailored treatments which work with the Gates Foundation to enhance their AI technologies.
Bengaluru-based Geetha Manjunath and Nidhi Mathur established Niramai in 2016. The health tech business created Thermalytix to identify breast cancer sooner than existing procedures or self-examination. The low-cost, automated, portable equipment enables cancer screening in all clinics.
Bengaluru-based HealthifyMe launched in 2012. The company wanted to introduce digital healthcare to Indians. It employs an AI-based virtual assistant, Ria, to answer customers’ fitness, diet, and health questions in 10 languages. The app gives nutritional advice, tracks calorie consumption using AI, and offers healthy recipes and ideas.
But is it enough proof of it? Though these AI-based apps and software are launched and widely used in India but is it enough proof that Artificial intelligence is emphatically and logically sound?
The current example of an advertisement by Zomato which was powered by Artificial intelligence hurt the religious sentiments of the people of Ujjain where they used “Maha Kaal”, instead of “Maha Kaal ki thali” which serves delicious thalis. For this Zomato gave a written apology.[1]
So, it can be conclusive to say that AI possesses empathy and logic but with human supervision over it.
