The Arbitration Digest welcomes submissions from legal professionals, scholars, and enthusiasts who are passionate about commercial laws and wish to share their insights with our readers.
General Guidelines
- Originality: All submissions must be original work created by the author(s) and should not have been published elsewhere, including on personal blogs or other platforms.
- Plagiarism and AI : Plagiarism above 10 per cent shall not be tolerated. The use of generative AI tools is discouraged. However, AI usage is permissible up to a maximum of 10% of the total content. The use of AI in analytical portions is strictly prohibited.
- Topic Relevance: Submissions must focus on topics related to commercial laws including but not limited to contract law, arbitration law, sale of goods law, partnership law, company law etc.
Formatting and Referencing Guidelines
Wherever possible, use hyperlinks in the body of the submission itself instead of footnotes and endnotes. Footnotes may be used for reference where hyperlinking is not possible due to source being offline or behind a paywall.
In case, footnoting is required, then they shall follow the latest edition of Oxford University Standard for citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).
Submission Categories
The Arbitration Digest accepts submissions under the following four categories.
- Article: Articles should delve deeply into specific legal concepts or principles, offering a comprehensive exploration. The ideal length is 1500 to 3000 words.
- Blogs: Blogs should focus on issues of contemporary relevance in commercial and business law, presenting them in an engaging and concise manner. The ideal length is 800 to 2000 words.
- Case Summaries: Case summaries should distil the essence of a recent or landmark case, providing clarity and precision. Begin with the case’s citation details, date, forum, and judge, followed by a succinct summary of the facts, legal issues, and arguments from both sides. The decision and reasoning behind it should be highlighted, focusing on significant legal principles clarified or established.
- Case Opinions: Case opinions should critically analyze judicial decisions, engaging deeply with the legal issues and principles involved. The ideal length is 1000 to 1500 words.
Submission Procedure
The author(s) shall submit the submission by emailing [email protected]. The submission shall be emailed only in .doc/.docx format. Along with the submission, the author(s) shall also include a brief bio of not more than 20 words, a professional photo and an undertaking of originality and copyright. The subject line of the email shall be “Submission – [title]”
Review Policy
The editorial team will review your submission and notify you of the decision within 10 working days. If accepted, we may provide feedback or request revisions.
