In the intricate domain of criminal law, our aim is not just to disseminate information but to establish ourselves as the authoritative pinnacle—a guiding light for legal scholars, practitioners, and enthusiasts. To achieve this, we curate a thoroughly documented repository featuring legal precedents, statutes, and seminal cases. These insights, articulated by esteemed legal experts, delve beyond the surface, uncovering fundamental principles and implications, thereby presenting a panoramic view of the legal landscape.

Submission Guidelines

  • The manuscript related to current affairs and unfolding events should be sent within a reasonable time frame to ensure that they are not rendered infructuous due to the passage of time.
  • Send only original, unpublished works. Please do not send pieces that you have previously published or have submitted for publishing elsewhere.
  • All submissions are to be sent in Word format only. Please do not submit in PDF format.
  • The Board has a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. If your submission is found to be plagiarized, you will be permanently barred from publishing with us.
  • Please attach a high-resolution photograph of the author.
  • The submissions must be accompanied by a suitable title and a brief biography of the author/s. The editorial board reserves the right to change the title of the article without prior approval of the authors and also choose appropriate photographs (abstract or specific photographs to reflect the subject matter) to accompany the final blog post.
  • The blog is currently accepting short-form posts between 800-1200 words and long-form posts between 1200-1500 words in English. We accept co-authored submissions.
  • We are looking to publish academic writing on criminal law and the criminal justice system.
  • All posts are subject to review by the editorial board. The editorial board may suggest changes to the submission, and we reserve the right to publish the piece upon the changes being duly incorporated to the satisfaction of the editorial board.
  • Make sure that the submission does not contain any incorrect information. Double-check, and provide sources for, all facts and data you cite.All sources must be hyperlinked in the text of the blog. Please do not use footnotes.
  • We will endeavor to communicate our decision on publication within one week of submission and no later than two weeks. The decision to publish, as indicated above, may be subject to the editorial process.

Submission Procedure

The submission (in a word document format) must be mailed to [email protected] with the subject “Submission 154 & Defence Blog <Title of the Submission>”. 

The email body must contain a two-line bio of the author and institutional affiliation (if applicable).
