The Karnataka High Court conducts the Karnataka Judicial Service Examination every year to recruit candidates for the Civil Judge position. This year, the Karnataka High Court Civil Judge Recruitment 2025 has been announced with 158 vacancies.

The notification was released on 10th February 2025, and the online application will be open until 12th March 2025.

Karnataka Judiciary Exam 2025 Vacancy

The total number of vacancies for Karnataka High Court Civil Judge Recruitment 2025 is 158, distributed across various categories as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

A. Direct Recruitment:-

Must be holder of a Degree in Law granted by a University established by Law in India and must have enrolled as an Advocate.

Must not have completed as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications:

Forty years of age in the case of candidates belonging to any of the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or Category-I of the Other Backward Classes;

Thirty Eight years of age in the case of candidates belonging to any of the Category II(A) or II(B) or III(A) or III(B) of Other Backward Classes; and

Thirty Five years of age in the case of any other candidate.

The maximum age limit is relaxed by three years in case of ex-serviceman candidates.

B. In-service Candidates:-

Must be holder of a Degree in Law granted by a University established by Law in India.

Must not have completed as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications, Forty Three years of age

in the case of candidates belonging to any of the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes and Forty years

of age in the case of other candidates.

Must be working as on the last date fixed for submission of applications:-

in the High Court of Karnataka or in the District Judiciary under the jurisdiction of High Court

of Karnataka.

as an Assistant Public Prosecutor/Assistant Government Pleader in the Department of

Prosecutions and Government Litigation.

C. Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities:-

In all direct recruitment to the cadre of Civil Judges four percent (4%) of the vacancies is reserved for

persons with benchmark disability in accordance with Section 34(1) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (Central Act No. 49 of 2016).
