Dard Se Humdard Tak Trust (DSHT): Dard Se Humdard Tak Trust (DSHT) is a non-profit organization committed to bridging the gap between justice and accessibility. With a mission to ensure that no one is denied legal representation due to financial hardship, DSHT Trust has successfully facilitated the release of over 600 underprivileged prisoners across Maharashtra.
About SNBP Law College
SNBP Law College, under Subhadra Educational Society and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, is a reputed institution offering quality legal education through its B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. programs. Established in 2009, the college focuses on nurturing competent legal professionals through academic excellence, practical training, and value-based learning. It has earned national recognition for its standards in legal education and remains committed to shaping socially responsible lawyers.
About the opportunity / Competition Overview
DSHT, in collaboration with SNBP Law College, brings to you the 1st Edition of the State-Level Debate Competition 2025, a two-day offline event aimed at encouraging discourse, critical thinking, and civic engagement on legal and social issues.
- Dates: 12th & 13th July 2025
- Venue: SNBP Law College, Morwadi, Pimpri, Pune – 411018
- Format: Oxford-Style Debate
- Team Composition: 3 members per team
- Languages: English, Hindi, Marathi
- Rounds: Preliminary, Quarterfinals (Day 1), Semi-Finals, Finals (Day 2)

Eligibility
- Open to undergraduate and postgraduate law students from recognized institutions.
- Each institution can send a maximum of two teams (3 members per team).
Registration Fee
- The registration fee for the competition is ₹1500 per team.
- Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prizes
- 1st Prize: ₹30,000 + Trophy + Certificate
- 2nd Prize: ₹20,000 + Trophy + Certificate
- Best Speaker: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificate
- Best Rebuttal: ₹5,000 + Trophy + Certificate
- Certificate of Participation for all participants
