Competition Law in India plays a crucial role in promoting free and fair competition, preventing anti-competitive practices, and protecting consumer interests. Competition Law refers to legislation that promotes or seeks to maintain market competition by regulating anti-competitive conduct by companies. In India, the primary legislation is the Competition Act, 2002, which replaced the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (MRTP) Act, 1969.

The Act is administered by the Competition Commission of India (CCI), an autonomous body that investigates and penalises anti-competitive practices.

These Competition Law notes aim to offer law students and researchers a structured overview of the key concepts, statutory framework, landmark cases, and recent developments under Indian Competition Law.
