About the Organiser
The National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi (NLU Ranchi), established in 2010 by the Jharkhand State Legislature through Act No. 4 of 2010, is one of India’s premier National Law Universities. The university functions under the patronage of the Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand as the Rector and the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court as the Chancellor.
About the Event
The Literary Society of NLU Ranchi is organising the Parliamentary Debate Competition as part of Avirbhaav 6.0, the university’s annual literary, cultural, and sports fest, scheduled to be held on 23rd – 26th April 2026.
Avirbhaav is one of East India’s largest university festivals, witnessing participation from 80+ colleges and a footfall of over 11,000 students. The Parliamentary Debate follows the Asian Parliamentary format, providing participants with a dynamic platform to engage in high-intensity, structured debates requiring sharp thinking, persuasive speaking, and quick rebuttals with minimal preparation time.
Eligibility
Open to school and college students from across India.
