The University of Lucknow was established in 1867 and is one of India’s oldest government-owned higher education institutions. The Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow, has been a pioneering legal institution in India. It was founded in 1921 by three instructors.

About Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture

To recognize Babasaheb’s contribution to academia, 6th Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial lectures are being organised on 14th April 2025. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was a person with multiple talents as he was an educationist, jurist, and worked as socio-political reformer. In free India, his contribution is precious in varied arenasand the list of his achievements is long. The lectures shall be delivered by eminent personalities, The lectures are open to the public from any stream. The lectures will be delivered in offline mode at Vishwakarma Hall, University of Lucknow Second Campus, Jankipuram. Refreshments will be provided to the Participants &Audience.

About National Article Writing Competition

Topics of Article Writing Competition:

  • Dr. Ambedkar and the Protection of Women’s Rights in Indian Society
  • Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the Fight for Women’s Property Rights
  • The Relevance of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Ideals in Contemporary Feminism

Rules:

  • National Level Article Writing competition shall be organised in online mode, and the last date for registration and submission for same is 13 April 2025 (11:59 PM).
  • The Entry Fee for the Article Writing Competition is 70 rupees for a Single Author and 100 rupees for a Co-author.
  • The Article shall be written in English only.
  • An article can be co-authored by a maximum of two participants.
  • The word limit of the article should be 1200- 1500 words.
  • Plagiarism of a maximum 10% will be allowed.
  • Guidelines for the article are as follows: Font -Times New Roman Font, Line spacing: 1.5, size- 14, for titles Citation: Bluebook 19th Edition.
  • The article will be evaluated on the basis of Grammar,
  • Understanding of the topic, Expression, Research, and Coherence.

NOTE-The Announcement of Winners and Prize distribution will be done at Vishwakarma Hall ,University of Lucknow on 14 April, 2025.

Speech Competition

Topic – The Evolution of Women’s Rights in India:Constitutional Perspective

Rules:

  • The competition is open to all interested participants.
  • The Entry fee for the Speech Competition is 50 Rupees.
  • Each participant will have a maximum of 3 minutes to deliver their speech.
  • Exceeding the time limit may lead to disqualification or deduction of points.
  • Language: Participants may choose to speak in English or Hindi.
  • The speech must be original.
  • Plagiarism or excessive reading from notes will result in penalties.
  • Participants will be judged based on content, clarity, confidence, delivery, and time management.
  • Any offensive, disrespectful, or inappropriate content will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • All participants must register by 12 April, 2025.
  • The judges’ decision will be final and binding.

NOTE- The Announcement of Winners and Prize distribution will be done at Vishwakarma Hall, University of Lucknowon 14 April 2025.

Quiz Competition

Theme of Quiz: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Literary Contributions

Venue: The quiz shall be conducted on 13th April 2025 offline at Juris Hall, University of Lucknow, Second Campus.

Rules:

  • Participants are forbidden to use any search engine or any other printed/non-printed material, which shall be grounds for immediate disqualification.
  • There will be two rounds.
  • First round: 50 Multiple Choice Questions in 20 minutes.
  • Candidates qualifying First round will be forwarded to the final round.
  • Final Round will be done in buzzer mode.
  • Top 5 participants of first round will be called for final round.
  • The entry fee for Quiz Competition is 50 Rupees per person.

NOTE– The Announcement of Winners and Prize distribution will be done at Vishwakarma Hall, University of Lucknowon 14 April 2025.

Prizes

  • Cash prize of 1100/- to the Winner and Cash prize of 500/-to the Runner Up along with Certificate of Merit and Medalshall be given and Certificate of participation shall be given to all participants of Bhimotsav National Article Writing Competition.
  • Cash prize 1100/- to the Winner and Cash Prize of 500/- to the Runner Up along with Certificate of Merit and Medalshall be given and Certificate of participation shall be given to all participants of Bhimotsav Quiz Competition.
  • Cash prize of 1100/- to the Winner and Cash Prize of 500/-to the Runner Up along with Certificate of Merit and Medalshall be given and Certificate of participation shall be given to all participants of Bhimotsav Speech Competition.
