About the Internship
Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) is offering an opportunity for law students to witness and have experience of working with this Authority which is working tirelessly towards achieving“Access to Justice for all”. DSLSA invites online applications for the Summer Internship Program –2024 from law students of various Law Universities/Colleges in India.
Eligibility
Law students pursuing years Course and Three Years Courses are eligible to apply for this program.
Skills Required
Efficiency in written Communication (English), Legal writing, Basic legal knowledge, computer operation in Word/Excel/PPT.

Suggested Field Areas for Visit During Internship Period
While interning with Authority the students may have an opportunity to visit the authorities/places mentioned below:
Courts & Tribunals
- District Courts (Civil & Criminal side);
- Family Courts;
- Special Courts dealing with cases under Section 138 N.LAct;
- Mediation Centre;
- Labour Courts & Tribunals including Armed Forces Tribunal, Debt Recovery Tribunal, MCD Appellate Tribunal, Consumer Forums etc.;
Outreach Activities
- Door to Door Campaign in Districts;
- Legal Services Clinics;
Child Care Institutions
- Observation Homes for Juveniles;
- Juvenile Justice Boards;
- Children Homes & Child Welfare Committees ;
Jail & Police Stations
- Tihar or Rohini Jails;
- Police Stations/Forensic Science Laboratory;
Other Government Establishments
- National Commission for Protection of Child Rights/ Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights;
- Mental Health Institution (IHBAS);
- One Stop Centers;
- Shelter Homes in Districts;
- District Magistrate Offices;
- District Labour Offices.
Internship Certificate shall be awarded after successful completion of the Internship. 3 Excellence Certificates would also be awarded to the chosen candidates who will complete their internship with sincerity and devotion and bring new innovative ideas.
Attendance
Minimum 75% attendance is must for the Internship

| 1 May 2024 | Students can apply for Winter Internship online through the website www.dslsa.org from 10:00 AM onwards |
| 15 May 2024 (5:00 PM) | Deadline for submitting applications with a scanned copy of the Identity Card, passport size photo, and a recommendation letter from the principal/HOD of Law Department. Applications without the required documents will not be considered, except in exceptional cases where the Authority may have discretion to waive off the condition. |
| 25 May 2024 | Enrolled/Shortlisted students will be informed via e-mail. Shortlisting will be based on a draw of lots if more applications are received than required. |
| 30 May 2024 | Students must send a confirmation e-mail of their participation in the Internship program within 3 days of receiving the information of being shortlisted. |
| 04th to 24th June, 2024 | Period of Internship |
