About The Organisation
The Daleel is a premier student-led legal platform dedicated to enhancing advocacy, research, and debate excellence. It has successfully organised three editions of its Youth Parliament, empowering hundreds of students to develop critical thinking, policy awareness, and public speaking. With SUITS 1.0, The Daleel brings its experience and excellence into the world of mooting—offering an authentic, challenging, and enriching legal simulation.
About The Opportunity
SUITS 1.0 is The Daleel’s flagship virtual moot court competition. It invites law students across India to argue a high-stakes family law problem before an esteemed panel of judges, including legal experts, academicians, and practitioners. The competition will test participants’ skills in advocacy, legal reasoning, and written submissions through multiple rounds of oral arguments and memorial evaluations.
Theme
SUITS 1.0 is based on a flagship family law problem, requiring deep understanding of personal laws, procedural rules, and constitutional principles. The moot problem presents complex legal and ethical questions that mirror real courtroom challenges.
Eligibility
- Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate law students from recognized institutions in India.
- Team Composition: 3 members (2 speakers + 1 researcher).
- Maximum of 3 teams per institution.
Registration Fee
₹1000 per team (Early Bird Offer).
Prizes And Awards
- Winning Team: ₹5,000
- Runners-Up Team: ₹2,000
- Best Memorial: ₹1,000
- Certificate of Participation for all participants
