About the Opportunity

Mediation is where a neutral third party, known as a mediator, assists the parties in resolving their conflicts. A mediator is a bridge for conflicting parties to meet in the middle by facilitating communication, identifying issues, and guiding parties toward a mutually acceptable solution. The objectives of a mediation competition are multifaceted, encompassing skills development, education, promotion of ADR, networking, cultural advancement, standardisation, recognition, and public awareness. These goals collectively contribute to the growth and acceptance of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in the legal landscape.

Through this competition, the School of Law aims at promoting a more achievable choice to resolve the issues of families, corporate, business, commercial and all other disputes too and preparing future lawyers with the skills required for them to be active and smooth functioning of justice in our society.

Eligibility

• Open to students pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LLB program from a university recognised by the Bar Council of India.
• Each university/college can send a maximum of two teams.
• Each team must consist of three members: a Mediating Pair (Client & Counsel) and a Mediator.

Registration Fee

Registration Fee: ₹3000/- per team

Accommodation Fee: ₹750 per person per day (first-come, first-served basis)

Prizes

• Winning Negotiating Pair: 20,000
• Runner-up Negotiating Pair: 10,000
• Best Mediator: 5,000
• Runner Up Mediator: 2,500
• Best Negotiating Pair from prelims round: 5,000
• Best Mediator from Prelims: 2,500
• Certificates will be provided to all participants.

• Competition Dated – 11th-12th July, 2025
• Final Registration Open – 25th May, 2025
• Final Registration Close – 25th June
• Last Date of Clarification – 27th June, 2025
• Release of Clarification – 30th June, 2025
• Submission of Mediation Plan – 5^th July, 2025 (hardcopy + 2 set of each round.)
• Inaugration Prelims 1 & Prelims 2 – 11^th July, 2025
• Semi-Final and Finals & Valedictory Ceremony – 12^th July, 2025
• Social Gathering – 11th July, 2025
