The Research and Advisory Centre on International Economic Law (RACIEL), National Law University, Jodhpur, in collaboration with the Centre for Studies in International Trade and International Investment Laws (CITIL), Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, invites submissions for its upcoming Edited Volume titled “Trade and Sustainable Development”.
This book aims to explore the growing interplay between international trade and sustainability against the backdrop of environmental concerns, social justice, global governance, and economic reforms. It will critically examine evolving legal, regulatory, and policy dimensions shaping the future of global trade in light of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
About the Book
The edited volume seeks to examine how global trade, traditionally focused on economic growth, is being reshaped by the imperative of sustainability. It aims to highlight emerging legal and policy responses that integrate environmental protection, social equity, and inclusive development into trade governance.

Submission Guidelines
- Submission Type: Book Chapter
- Eligibility: Academicians, Researchers, Practitioners, and Students
- Co-authorship: Permissible (maximum two authors)
- Word Limit: 5,000–7,000 words (excluding footnotes)
- Citation Style: OSCOLA 4th Edition (Footnotes only)
- Formatting:
- Font: Garamond, Size: 12 pt, Line Spacing: 1.5
- Title: 14 pt, Bold, CAPS; Sub-headings: 12 pt, Bold
- Submission must be in MS Word (.doc/.docx) and PDF format
Ethical Requirements
- Original and unpublished work
- Not under consideration elsewhere
- Plagiarism above 15% will result in outright rejection
Submission Details
The paper shall be submitted both in doc./docx and pdf format via mail at [email protected] and [email protected] with the subject “submission-CfP-Trade and Sustainable Development”.
