At SDM Law College, Mangalore, a myriad of activities enriches the academic experience for students, encompassing both competitive and non-competitive events. Among these, the Lex Plus Student Law Review stands out as a beacon for fostering research acumen and honing writing skills. As a peer-reviewed publication, the Lex Plus Student Law Review has demonstrated its commitment to scholarly excellence through the successful release of two previous issues. In line with this tradition, we are proud to announce the forthcoming publication of Issue No.3.
Embracing an open theme, this edition will explore a diverse array of legal aspects relevant to contemporary times. Through the platform provided by the Lex Plus Student Law Review, students are afforded with the opportunity to delve into pressing legal issues, engage in rigorous research, and contribute meaningfully to the discourse surrounding the law. We invite all students, both within our esteemed institution and beyond, to partake in this enriching scholarly endeavor and contribute their insights to the forthcoming publication.

Submission Guidelines
The organizing team requests the submission of research papers for LEX PLUS 2024. Below are the submission guidelines and the required format for preparing the research paper. All papers, inclusive of abstracts and adhering to the specified format, are to be submitted before the deadline.
- No Fees: Entry is free to all students.
- Word Limit: Maximum 3000 words inclusive of footnotes.
- Abstract: The article should include an abstract of up to 250 words, which has to precede the article.
- Authorship: Submissions are invited from students of our institution and other esteemed institutions. Entries can be co-authored but a maximum of two authors per entry is allowed.
- Citation Style: Harvard Bluebook 20th edition. Refer to 20th-Harvardbluebook.pdf (scconline.com).
- Formatting Guidelines: A detailed version of the formatting guidelines is available in the attached brochure
- Authors shall mail a copy of the manuscript to the email stated below. The subject of the email shall be LEX PLUS- MANUSCRIPT. If any issues arise, please contact the numbers provided below for assistance.
- Headings: a. Level one heading: It shall be numbered and in the center. b. Level two heading: It shall be left aligned and in bold letters. c. Level three heading: It shall be left aligned and italicized.
- Important Dates: The last date for submission of the completed paper shall be 11th June 2024.
- The paper must be the original work of the author and to adhere plagiarism rules. SDMLC shall reserve the right to modify the articles if necessary.
- Authors are required to obtain written permission for the use of any copyrighted material in the manuscript and communicate the same to the Editorial Board.
- S.D.M Law College shall retain all copyright arising out of any publication.
