About the Job
Deloitte is seeking a Service Associate to join its Firm Risk, Compliance, and Governance Services team under the Risk & Brand Protection function. The role involves supporting contract management and risk management activities throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual commitments, monitoring deliverables, and assisting with contract-related reviews and governance processes.
The selected candidate will work closely with Contract and Risk Managers supporting Deloitte Canada’s Technology and Transformation (T&T) and OperateNext business functions.
Eligibility
Required Qualifications
- LLB, MBA, or an equivalent qualification.
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and redlining commercial contracts and preparing risk summaries.
- Experience in contract management relating to professional services agreements, information technology consulting, information technology outsourcing, or information technology professional services projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- World Commerce & Contracting certification.
- Familiarity with contract management tools.
- Proficiency in the French language.
Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and monitor contract summaries while tracking contractual obligations to ensure deliverables are met in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Manage trackers for contracts in progress and work-at-risk items, capturing action items and maintaining status updates.
- Assist with reviews relating to statements of work and change requests.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Contract & Risk Managers on contract and risk management activities.
- Support additional responsibilities and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
About the Team
The Risk team is responsible for protecting the firm’s earnings, assets, and reputation while promoting consistency in service delivery and reducing quality-related risks. The Contract Management team provides risk and quality-related guidance to engagement teams and supports the identification, mitigation, and management of delivery, regulatory, legal, and reputational risks throughout the engagement lifecycle.
