About the Job
IndiaLaw LLP is seeking a Litigation Associate for its IBC and Banking Litigation practice in Chennai. The role offers hands-on exposure to insolvency proceedings, debt recovery, banking disputes, enforcement actions, and commercial litigation before judicial and quasi-judicial forums. The selected candidate will work closely with partners and senior associates on matters before the NCLT, DRT, DRAT, High Courts, and other forums.

Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
- 0–1 year of post-qualification experience with exposure to litigation, insolvency, or banking matters.
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
- Draft petitions, replies, applications, written submissions, affidavits, notices, and legal opinions.
- Conduct legal research on insolvency, banking, recovery, and commercial laws.
- Assist in appearances before NCLT, DRT, DRAT, High Courts, and other judicial forums.
- Support matters involving the SARFAESI Act, recovery laws, and banking disputes.
- Coordinate with clients, counsels, and court/tribunal officials.
- Manage case files, hearing schedules, filings, and documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Prior internship or exposure to IBC, DRT, or banking litigation matters.
- Familiarity with NCLT and DRT procedures.
- Knowledge of the SARFAESI Act and related recovery proceedings.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and Microsoft Office tools.
