About the Job
Ayvens is seeking a driven and detail-oriented legal professional to join its Mumbai office. The role involves handling commercial agreements, contract lifecycle processes, internal policy documentation, compliance support, and legal advisory work across the business and group entities.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed institute.
- 8–10 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal environment, whether in an Indian or multinational organisation.
- Strong knowledge of commercial law and practical understanding of business operations.
- Exposure to privacy laws and insurance regulations will be preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Adobe, along with working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills in English.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and ability to work within deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management tools will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Draft, vet, and negotiate customer agreements, vendor and supplier agreements, tender documents, non-disclosure agreements, letters, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for execution of agreements and manage amendments wherever required.
- Lead the implementation of a contract lifecycle management (CLM) tool for end-to-end contract tracking.
- Draft, review, and update internal policies and procedures.
- Supervise and support compliance activities for the company’s insurance subsidiary.
- Monitor applicable laws, regulations, and circulars and assess their impact on the business.
- Provide legal support to group companies in Thailand and Malaysia, as required.
- Advise departments and business units on legal issues.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and build a network of advisors.
- Manage and maintain physical and digital contract records.
- Conduct legal research and analyse case laws.
