About the Job

The Manager – Legal and Remedial will be responsible for handling consumer and civil litigation matters, coordinating with internal departments and external advocates, managing legal notices, and ensuring effective progression and resolution of cases. The role requires strong litigation management skills and an understanding of legal issues relevant to the financial services sector.

Eligibility

  • Experience in handling consumer and civil litigation matters.
  • Understanding of issues related to the Finance/BFSI industry will be preferred.

Required Skills

  • Litigation drafting, including written statements, arguments, and evidence preparation.
  • Strong case analysis and documentation skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with advocates and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and litigation management.

Responsibilities

Consumer and Civil Litigation Management

  • Analyze case contentions in consumer and civil matters.
  • Gather relevant information and documentation from various departments.
  • Brief advocates on defence strategies and provide supporting documents.
  • Frame and vet written statements and objections prepared by advocates.
  • Prepare concise case summaries and one-page briefs.
  • Track the progress of cases and take necessary steps to ensure their logical conclusion.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for effective case management.

Notice Management

  • Handle and manage legal notices for the respective zones.
  • Monitor notice-related actions and ensure timely responses.
