About the Job
Tata Steel is seeking a Manager – HRM Legal to formulate and implement legal strategies related to labour and industrial relations matters. The role involves managing labour litigation, advising internal stakeholders on legal and disciplinary procedures, coordinating with legal counsel, and ensuring effective handling of disputes before various labour authorities and courts.
Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Legal or Industrial Relations (IR), preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws.
- Experience in litigation management and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement legal strategies for pending labour matters to reduce litigation and associated costs.
- Coordinate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), empanelled advocates, and other stakeholders for effective management and disposal of labour cases.
- Handle matters before Labour Courts, Industrial Tribunals, High Courts, EPF authorities, ESIC authorities, Gratuity Authorities, and facilitate out-of-court settlements.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, labour authorities, and courts.
- Guide and support HRBPs on labour law procedures, disciplinary proceedings, domestic enquiries, and recent legal developments.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to strengthen organizational capability in labour law compliance and industrial relations.
- Draft and respond to communications from labour and statutory authorities.
- Attend conciliation proceedings under industrial dispute matters and represent the organization before labour authorities and related forums.
