About the Job
The National Health Systems Resource Centre is seeking a Consultant (Legal) to work on legal and public health-related assignments. The position offers hands-on experience with the public health landscape of states and districts and involves travel to states and districts.
Eligibility
- Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) through regular courses.
- At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience, including 1 year of experience in the formulation of Public Health Policy.
- Working knowledge of important health-related laws.
- Excellent legal research, analysis, drafting, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet tight timelines.
- Understanding of the public health structure and systems in India.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Computer proficiency with familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Published work in the area of law, health, or equity.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Work experience in health law and policy, including areas such as hospitals, healthcare, mental health, gender, sexuality, disability, HIV, TB, and tobacco control.
- Research experience in relevant areas of law and health.
Remuneration
The remuneration range is ₹60,000 to ₹1,20,000. The fee offered within this range will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 45 years as on the date of receiving the application.
