About the Job
Barclays is inviting applications for the position of Legal Inventory Management APAC. The selected candidate will be part of the global Legal Inventory Management (LIM) team and will support the development, maintenance, and implementation of Barclays’ Laws, Rules, and Regulations (LRR) Inventories. The role involves working closely with legal, compliance, risk, and business teams to strengthen the bank’s legal and regulatory risk management framework.
Eligibility
Candidates should have:
- Experience as a paralegal, qualified lawyer (or equivalent), or Compliance Officer.
- Experience in data handling and management, including analysing, interpreting, validating, and maintaining large volumes of data.
- Experience working in the financial services sector within a Legal, Compliance, or similar function.
- Strong understanding of risk and control processes and legal compliance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and legal professionals.
- A good understanding of legal and regulatory risk management frameworks.
- Experience in implementing process improvements and change initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and functions.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and management of the Laws, Rules, and Regulations (LRR) Inventories.
- Support the operation of legal procedures relating to LRR Risk Management.
- Prepare and maintain management information (MI) for governance forums.
- Contribute to data governance, quality control, and database enhancements.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Business, and Technology teams on LRR risk management.
- Support legal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the global Legal function.
- Assist lawyers with remediation activities relating to LRR Risk.
- Help ensure legal and regulatory requirements are appropriately reflected in policies, standards, and controls.
- Support legal research, regulatory analysis, and special projects related to legal risk and compliance.
- Contribute to strengthening the organisation’s legal risk and control culture.
