About the Job

Accenture is looking for an Ethics and Compliance Counsel – Data Privacy Specialist to conduct privacy reviews and support the implementation of its global data privacy program. The role involves working with internal stakeholders and external counsel, supporting privacy-related projects, conducting research, assisting with data subject rights and regulatory inquiries, and presenting project updates to leadership and business teams.

Eligibility

• Law degree with 3–4 years of experience in data privacy.
• Understanding of regulatory principles governing data privacy at a global level.
• Fluent in English with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand and design process flows and metrics.
• IAPP certifications such as CIPP/E or similar are a plus.
• Effective stakeholder management skills, including experience with senior leadership.
• Skilled in legal research, including the use of GenAI tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• PowerBI proficiency is an advantage.
• Sound judgment in applying company policies, identifying risks, and escalating issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, design, align, and improve compliance processes and templates for implementing data privacy laws and other requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand and collect process requirements and advise on approaches.
• Act as a project manager for new initiatives and introduce measures for existing processes and ad-hoc initiatives.
• Conduct data privacy assessments, including local country risk assessments, privacy reviews, and/or Data Privacy Impact Assessments.
• Understand contractual principles required to draft, review, and assist in negotiating data privacy schedules for contractual arrangements.
• Monitor legal developments, regulatory changes, and global trends related to data privacy.
• Analyse the impact of privacy developments on business operations and prepare internal guidance, communications, and training materials.
• Identify and support responses to subject access and individual rights requests in alignment with internal policies and procedures.
• Understand relevant Accenture policies and their application to data privacy, business operations, the regulatory environment, and potential data privacy risks in regulated areas.
• Develop training for team members, Legal, and other Accenture functions on data privacy processes and regulatory requirements.
• Understand the different CORE (Compliance, Operations, Regulatory & Ethics) areas and surrounding issues and statutory regulations.
• Build credibility and effective relationships internally within the Legal team.
• Support senior data privacy counsels in operational and advisory matters.
• Serve as Tier 1 support for data privacy inquiries and escalate issues appropriately.
