About the Equal Opportunity Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at GNLU has been established to support students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) and other marginalised communities, to foster equality, social justice, and academic excellence. The EOC aims to address the specific needs of these communities, whose members have historically faced discrimination and marginalisation.

As per the provisions of the Indian Constitution, special measures are in place to ensure that these groups have equal opportunities in education, employment, and societal participation. The EOC plays a crucial role in implementing these measures within the academic environment at GNLU. The central objective of the EOC is to empower students to achieve their rightful place in mainstream society by improving their social, educational, and professional standing.
