About the Job

The position is for a Consultant (Risk Management). The role involves developing and implementing data protection policies, assessing privacy risks, supporting clients on privacy and data governance matters, and contributing to Deloitte’s privacy capabilities.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
CIPT, CIPM, CIPPE, or other related certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop data protection policies and procedures in accordance with privacy laws and regulations for clients.
Conduct assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection risks and develop mitigation strategies based on client requirements.
Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies.
Provide guidance and support to clients on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), risk assessments, data governance, application, and privacy impact assessments.
Design and build security and privacy frameworks, redesign processes, and develop privacy controls.
Recommend privacy solutions and participate in discussions with stakeholders regarding recommendations.
Define privacy metrics and corresponding dashboards for monitoring and reporting.
Collaborate with internal teams to raise awareness of data protection policies and practices.
Stay informed about global developments in data protection laws and regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
Develop records of data processing activities and data protection compliance efforts as per client requirements.
Implement various modules of privacy tools available in the market, including Consent and Preference Management and Data Subject Rights Management.
Contribute to proposals, whitepapers, and other strategic documents to advance Deloitte’s privacy capabilities.
Support knowledge-sharing and best practices across regions and service lines.
