About the Job
S. K. Lath & Co. is hiring for the position of Legal Associate. The role is intended for individuals interested in working in the areas of real estate and banking & finance law.
Eligibility
Candidates must possess an LL.B. degree. A Company Secretary (C.S.) qualification is preferred.
Applicants with 2–3 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Freshers with a strong interest in the field may also apply.
Candidates should have:
- A basic understanding of banking and finance work along with real estate documentation
- Strong drafting, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced professional environment
Candidates currently based in Kolkata will be preferred. Proficiency in Bengali is mandatory.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting legal due diligence and handling legal audits
- Legal vetting of property and transaction-related documents
- Drafting, reviewing, and finalising transaction documents
- Drafting sale deeds, lease deeds, and mortgage deeds
- Preparing and vetting consortium and banking documents
- Conducting registry-related queries and handling registry office work
- Conducting court searches and registry office searches
- Handling real estate documentation work
- Assisting seniors in day-to-day work

The position requires immediate joining.

6A, Kiran Shankar Roy Road, near Calcutta High Court, Kolkata.
