About the Job

Avvocats & partners is seeking a Research & Editorial Associate to work closely on legal research, academic writing, policy analysis, and publication projects. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to scholarly work, regulatory commentary, and thought leadership in emerging areas of law and technology.

Eligibility

Candidates should:

• Hold or be pursuing an LL.M. or Ph.D. in Law
• Preferably specialize in:
  • Law & Technology
  • International Law
  • Intellectual Property Law
  • Data Privacy
  • AI & Law
  • Public Policy
• Possess strong academic and legal writing skills
• Be proficient with Bluebook, OSCOLA, or comparable citation systems
• Demonstrate strong analytical and comparative legal research abilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct scholarly legal research across multiple jurisdictions
• Draft and co-develop law review articles, white papers, and opinion pieces
• Undertake comparative legal analysis across common law and civil law systems
• Research issues relating to AI, data privacy, and legal innovation
• Prepare policy-oriented writing and regulatory commentary
• Contribute editorially to legal publications and industry platforms
• Develop long-form thought leadership content on emerging technology law

Preferred Qualifications

• Published academic or professional legal work is an advantage
• Experience with research-driven legal writing and publication
• Interest in global legal and policy developments
