About the Opportunity

As part of our ongoing efforts to create awareness on pressing issues related to gender equality and upliftment of the society, we are delighted to announce a call for blogs on the theme of Police Reforms and Women Policing.

Theme

Women’s safety and security have become critical concerns in today’s world. Instances of violence against women, harassment, and discrimination are on the rise, making it necessary to address the issue of police reforms and women policing. We believe that women can play a crucial role in policing and law enforcement, and that their inclusion can bring about much-needed changes in the system.

Through this call for blogs, we aim to create a platform for individuals to share their perspectives, experiences, and suggestions on police reforms and women policing. We invite writers, bloggers, activists, researchers, and anyone who has an opinion on this topic to submit their blogs to us.

Some of the topics that you can consider writing on include:

  1. The need for police reforms and women policing in India.
  2. Mahila police stations: Feasibility and Viability, in states like Maharashtra
  3. Women and police: Breaking the gender stereotypes.
  4. Police training and sensitization on gender issues
  5. Women’s safety and security: Challenges and opportunities

The selected blogs will be published on CALSTAR’s social media platforms, as well as on our website, giving you a chance to reach a wider audience and make a difference. The word limit for the blog is 2000 to 4000 words.
