About the Job
CLPR is inviting applications for the position of Litigation Associate.
The role involves handling and supervising litigation work under the Constitution Litigation Unit (CLU), along with research and administrative responsibilities.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized university
- Enrolled with a State Bar Council
- Minimum 2 years of litigation experience (preferably in High Courts/Supreme Court)
- Fluency in Kannada (speaking and reading)
- Master’s degree in Law
- Strong academic background
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Ability to work independently on drafting and filings
- Confidence in court appearances
- Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters under deadlines
- Good communication and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients and understand case requirements
- Draft affidavits, writ petitions, appeals, applications, and other pleadings
- Brief and assist senior advocates
- Appear before High Courts and the Supreme Court as required
- Conduct legal research for ongoing and prospective cases
