Fox Mandal & Associates is inviting applications for the position of Associate – Privacy & Data Protection at its Bengaluru office.

The role involves advising on data protection laws, compliance frameworks, and handling privacy-related legal matters in a fast-evolving regulatory landscape.
Eligibility
- LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized institution
- Minimum 2 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) in a reputed law firm/MNC
- Experience in data protection/privacy laws
- Privacy/Data Protection certifications will be an added advantage
Strong understanding of:
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
- Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025
- Global frameworks such as GDPR
- Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance
- Ability to advise on cross-border data transfers, consent mechanisms, and privacy-by-design
- Strong research, drafting, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on data protection and privacy compliance
- Conduct audits and gap assessments
- Draft and review privacy policies, DPAs, and agreements
- Assist in incident response and data breach assessments
- Conduct research on evolving privacy and tech laws
- Develop client alerts and thought leadership content
- Support internal compliance frameworks and business development initiatives
