Day 4 – Legal English in Litigation and Court Submissions

• Phrases used in court submissions (it is respectfully submitted that…)
• Style of pleadings: written submissions, affidavits, prayers

Day 5 – Advanced Legal Writing & Editing

• Avoiding common mistakes: redundancy, vagueness, legalese
• Advanced sentence crafting: conditionals, qualifiers, consistent tone
• Spotting and fixing common drafting mistakes (vague terms, repetition, inconsistent tone)
