About the Job

Arnava Legal is hiring a Legal Associate to join its growing practice in Bengaluru. The role is focused on technology contracts, commercial negotiations, intellectual property advisory, data protection compliance, and emerging technology regulation.

The selected candidate will work directly with clients and advise on a wide range of technology-driven commercial transactions and regulatory matters.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid enrolment with a Bar Council.
• 2–5 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Experience in a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating technology contracts.

Responsibilities

Technology Contracts

Draft, review, and negotiate:

• SaaS Agreements
• Software Licensing Agreements
• Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
• Statements of Work (SOWs)
• API Agreements
• Cloud Services Contracts

Commercial Contracts

Draft and negotiate:

• Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• Vendor Agreements
• Distribution Agreements
• Partnership Agreements

Intellectual Property

Advise on:

• IP Licensing
• Technology Transfer
• Open Source Compliance
• Trademark Clearance

Data Protection & Privacy

• Support compliance projects under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
• Draft and review:
  • Data Processing Agreements
  • Privacy Policies
  • Consent Frameworks

Regulatory Advisory

Conduct research on:

• AI Governance
• Cybersecurity Regulations
• Digital Commerce Regulations
• Emerging Technology Laws

Client Advisory

• Interface directly with clients.
• Provide commercially practical legal advice.
• Explain complex legal issues in a clear and business-oriented manner.
