About the Job

Invesco is hiring a Legal Analyst to support its global Legal Team, which operates across Hyderabad, the United States, EMEA, APAC, and Canada. The role involves assisting with legal documentation, commercial agreements, regulatory filings, corporate governance processes, class action and bankruptcy recovery claims, and fund-related legal matters.

The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with legal teams across multiple jurisdictions and contribute to a variety of legal and regulatory projects within the investment management industry.

Eligibility

  • Degree in Law.
  • 1–3 years of legal work experience, preferably with an investment advisor, mutual fund group, or within a legal or regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with legal teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC on legal projects and responsibilities.
  • Assist in drafting, analysing, reviewing, and negotiating agreements and amendments, including software licences, SaaS/cloud agreements, commercial and vendor agreements, partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and professional services agreements.
  • Upload agreements and amendments to online document repositories and maintain proper documentation records.
  • Respond to legal subpoenas, IRS summons, DOJ and Grand Jury subpoenas, restraining notices, letters of intent, and garnishment notices.
  • Support annual updates to fund disclosure documents for Retail and ETF Funds.
  • File Post-Effective Amendments to registration statements for Retail and ETF Funds.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly updates and filings relating to Interval Fund Tender Offer forms.
  • Update Tender Offer Board Memoranda and Board Resolutions as required.
  • Conduct research on historic fund trades, balance fund holdings, and prepare reports for class action and bankruptcy litigation filings.
  • Assist in gathering and disclosing portfolio manager fund holdings and assets.
  • Build board books, agendas, and post-board materials in online repositories.
  • Prepare and update disclosure documents for institutional private funds.
  • Review and edit annual registration statements and disclosures for sub-advised funds.
  • Support the derivatives legal team in preparing ISDA amendments, account control agreements, FX spot letters, and ISDA information updates.
  • Review compliance policies to identify legal, regulatory, and operational gaps.
  • Assist with legal projects and other related responsibilities as required.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during the course of work.
  • Interact regularly with overseas colleagues through written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of technology contract practices and standards.
  • Corporate governance experience or training.
  • Working knowledge of back-office operations and securities laws and regulations.

  • Good interpersonal and analytical abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work extended or adjusted hours when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Work Timings

The standard working hours for this role are 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST. Timings may change based on business and process requirements.
