About Indian Bureau of Mines

The Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) is a subordinate office under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. It is responsible for the regulation of mines and the conservation of minerals, along with promoting scientific development of mineral resources in the country.

About the Job

IBM is inviting applications for the position of Law Officer on a contractual basis. A total of 3 positions are available, initially for a period of 3 years, extendable based on performance.

Eligibility

  • LL.B. (3-year or 5-year) with minimum 50% marks
  • Must be enrolled with Bar Council of India/State Bar Council
  • Minimum:
    • 3 years’ practice as an Advocate
    • 2 years’ experience as legal professional (PSU/Govt./Private organisation)
  • Strong knowledge of civil matters, arbitration, labour law, company law
  • Good drafting and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Preference:

  • Candidates with experience in the Supreme Court/High Court in matters related to the mines and minerals industry
  • Experience with legal departments of mining PSUs/Government departments/large private companies

Age Limit

Maximum 40 years

Remuneration

₹70,000 per month
