Main tasks, Work Profile and Work Environment

It is an online internship; my first interaction was with Apoorva Ma’am herself via telephone. I was asked about my course, my preferences, and career goals. Initially, I was given research work to find certain case laws related to the specific provisions of Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, and Corporate Law. Thereafter, I was asked to prepare factsheets of current cases dealt with by the Firm. For factsheets, the cases were first briefed by Apoorva Ma’am and Rishabh Sir and then an original draft of cases was sent to me. After 1 week, I was asked to draft a Non-disclosure Agreement, Shareholder Agreement, Founder’s Agreement, Employer Agreement, etc of a company. In this internship, work was given every day and we have to submit it at the end of the day. Our work also gets reviewed and valuable feedback was given by the mentor. Ms. Apoorva and Mr. Rishabh are very supportive and always ready to provide all the assistance required for the tasks provided.

Good and Bad things

The good thing about the internship was that being a fourth year student, I was unaware of various fields of law but my legal knowledge has been widened by researching a diverse set of laws. I was given a chance to read case files through online media and to get an insight into various areas of law. While drafting various legal documents, I get a practical learning experience. All in all, an engaging and learning exposure.

No bad things, except the workload, were acutely excessive and you could not interact with the client directly. You were given a brief by the mentors about the needs and requirements of a client while drafting the agreements.

Stipend

No stipend was being provided during the internship.

Accommodation

Not required as it was online.

Conclusion

To be very honest the internship was very fruitful and helpful. There was clarity in understanding and smoothness in doubt clarification.
